Definition
Cookies consist of portions of code installed within the browser. They are small text files that websites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites on subsequent visits. Cookies are used for different purposes, have different characteristics, and can be used either by the owner of the site the user is visiting or by third parties. The main categories into which cookies can be divided are as follows:
oSession or persistent cookies
oTechnical or profiling cookies
oFirst-party or third-party cookies
Session and persistent cookies
Cookies can expire at the end of a browser session (the period between the user opening and closing a browser window) or can be stored for a longer period. Session cookies are those that allow websites to link a user's actions during a browser session. Session cookies expire when the browser session ends. Persistent cookies are stored on a user's device between browser sessions, for varying periods of time, and allow user preferences or actions regarding a website to be remembered.
Technical and profiling cookies
Technical cookies are those used by the owner of a site solely for the purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service. For the installation of such cookies, the prior consent of users is not required when used directly by the site operator.
Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the web. Due to the particular invasiveness that such cookies can have in the private sphere of users, European and Italian regulations require that the user be adequately informed about their use, through a brief notice (banner) and an extended notice on the site, and that they must give their explicit consent the first time they visit the site. This consent can be given in a general way, by interacting with the brief notice banner on the landing page of the site, in the manner indicated in that banner, or it can be given or denied selectively, according to the methods indicated below. This consent is recorded for subsequent visits. However, the user always has the possibility to revoke, in whole or in part, the consent already given.
First-party and third-party cookies
A cookie is "first-party" (so-called first party cookie) or "third-party" (so-called third party cookie) depending on the website or domain from which it originates.
First-party cookies are, in essence, cookies set and managed by the site owner. For these cookies, the obligation to provide information, obtain any prior consent and/or the possible blocking of cookies lies with the site owner.
Third-party cookies are cookies set by a domain other than the one visited by the user. For these cookies, the obligation to provide information and indicate the methods for any consent and/or blocking of cookies lies with the third party, while the site owner is only required to include on the site the link to the third party's site where such elements are available.
Types of data collected
Among the personal data collected by this website, either independently or through third parties, are: cookies, usage data, first name, last name, country, phone number, and email.
Other personal data collected may be indicated in other sections of this privacy policy or by informational texts displayed at the time of data collection. Personal data may be entered voluntarily by the user, or collected automatically during the use of this website.
The possible use of cookies – or other tracking tools – by this website or by the owners of third-party services used by this website, unless otherwise specified, is intended to identify the user and record their preferences for purposes strictly related to the provision of the service requested by the user.
Failure by the user to provide certain personal data may make it impossible for this website to provide its services.
The user assumes responsibility for the personal data of third parties published or shared through this website and guarantees that they have the right to communicate or disseminate them, releasing the owner from any liability towards third parties.
Methods and place of processing of collected data
Processing methods
The owner processes users' personal data by adopting appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction of personal data.
Processing is carried out using IT and/or telematic tools, with organizational methods and logic strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the owner, in some cases, categories of persons in charge involved in the organization of the site (administrative, commercial, marketing, legal staff, system administrators) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) may have access to the data, also appointed, if necessary, as data processors by the owner. The updated list of data processors can always be requested from the data controller.
Place
Data are processed at the operational offices of the owner and in any other place where the parties involved in the processing are located. For further information, contact the owner.
